I know I write a lot about my baby, but he's one of the best things I have going for me. So, bear with me here. I am glad to report that I found something to help him enjoy being on his tummy a little more. It's a play mat with a pillow that props him up a little so his face isn't buried in the floor. He doesn't mind being on his tummy when he can see what's around him a little easier. I also found a really cute giraffe toy that plays music. The best part is that the music it plays isn't annoying like the toy dog he has that he LOVES. The down side is that Teagan could care less about the giraffe. He likes the annoying dog. What do you do?
Everyday just seems to get better when you have a baby. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow. He tries so hard to imitate the things I do. He wants so badly to communicate and is constantly making funny sounds. When I whistle to him he puts his mouth in that shape and tries to make noise. It's so cute. His favorite is when you tap lightly on his mouth and he makes a sound. (Picture a little kid imitating an Indian.) He is constantly making me laugh. My mom told me one day that I must have given birth to a badger. He makes the funniest sounds. He growls and sounds like a little monster or animal. It's quite funny.
One of my favorite things is to give him a bath. He loves it so much. He giggles and splashes. I never expected a three month old to really care about a bath. It's fun. (Until he spits up all over himself the second I get him out of the tub and into a clean outfit!)
I am so grateful for families. It's one of the best blessings in my life and certainly the most fun. I am so glad that not only did I come from a wonderful family but, that I could have one of my own. I also love Darryl's family. I appreciate so much the impact they have had on his life. I am grateful for the part they played in making him the person he is today. (Especially Blake. I never realized just how close siblings could be until I married someone with a twin. I don't know what Darryl would ever do without his brother.) I guess I am feeling very blessed today. It's been a common feeling lately. I hope it continues.
