The Destructor is at it again.

I can't possibly keep up. He is moving fast and into everything. Nothing is safe anymore! I do have to admit, I am having so much fun watching him explore and learn so many new things. He is so curious and will never waste a second of the day. He has to be exploring or destroying something every waking moment. (The destruction part isn't so fun.)

His favorite thing lately is to wash his hands. His hands are usually such a mess after he eats that I take him in the bathroom and let him rest on my knee and the counter of the sink while he turns on the water and grabs the soap. He mostly loves to splash but he giggles when I rub the soap on his hands. Anything where messes or splashing is involved, Teagan will have a GREAT time. He is so fun. I will have to get a picture of that sometime.

I guess reaching the door handle WAY too early is what I get for having a tall kid. He is still in the 97th percentile for height. He is taller than some of the babies in our ward that are several months older. It's crazy. I am thinking he will probably level out pretty soon and other kids will catch up. I hear babies growth slows down a little after they turn 1. I hope that's the case. The kid is already in size 5 diapers! He isn't even 11 months old yet!
I absolutely love watching him learn and grow. He is so happy and loves to play. He likes it when you chase him. Especially when he escapes right after you take his diaper off and haven't gotten a new one on yet. He is so fast he sneaks away giggling like crazy. He certainly keeps me busy. I love my little guy.

Temple Square

Blake, Kayce and Glade came up to Salt Lake to visit and we decided it would be fun to see the lights on Temple Square. Since Darryl works on Temple Square he found out that's what we were doing and suggested we go to the pharmacy and fill prescriptions for fun instead! (Since I work in the pharmacy.) He did have a good time though. Especially since Blake was there. I never realized how close twins could be until I married one. He loves spending time with Blake, and I am thankful Blake married someone cool or I would be hating life. I really enjoy spending time with Kayce and of coarse my little Gladey bug. We had so much fun, I didn't think to get the pictures I wanted. I don't have any of Blake or Kayce and I never got a group shot. Oh well. Glade was so cute. She loved the lights and smiling at all the people. She kept pulling her mittens off and eventually lost one of them. Thankfully it wasn't very cold. We picked a great night to go since the next day it snowed like crazy!

Teagan had been feeling a little sick, so we decided to leave him home and not bring him out in the cold. My Grandma volunteered to watch him so we could still go. Teagan has a funny habit lately of biting the spoon and not letting go when you feed him. I finally got a picture. It's funny that he does that but it's frustrating trying to get the spoon out of his mouth! Funny kid.

Girls Day Out Just Got Better!

My mom was sad she couldn't come with us on Saturday but this morning she got a phone call from Macy's saying she was the grand prize winner of the perfume event and she needed to come in an pick up her prize! She went there expecting a little gift basket and got a huge one with about 6 full size bottles of perfume! (There was also lotion and face cream and candles and make-up bags etc.) She got the mother-load and the best news is she decided to share! I got a new bottle of my latest favorite perfume, Armani code. We were all pretty excited.

Girls Day Out

A few years ago while I was engaged, my mom, grandma and I were shopping at Macy's on my Grandma's birthday. We didn't know before hand, but they were having a big fragrance promotion that day and you could enter your name into a drawing to win some perfume. Well, my Grandma won! She got a big basket of the latest Estee Lauder perfume that had just barely come out (the one endorsed by Gweneth Paltrow). She was so excited to win something on her birthday.

This year for her birthday this year (which was in November) she wanted to go back to Macy's and try to win more perfume. My mom called and found out their fragrance promo was in December this year and we decided to make a day of it. We scheduled makeovers at the make-up counter and had the day planned with shopping, lunch, and hopes to win again.

This year instead of drawing your name they had stars taped to the floor and you had to stand on one when they announced the drawing and then they called a number. Joe came along and did some shopping while we got the makeovers and when he was done he came back and camped out on a number and sure enough he won! So my grandma got another basket with free perfume. She was so thrilled.

We got our makeovers and the lady doing mine said she wanted to do something a little more dramatic. I said, ok since I rarely put any make-up on at all and never do anything dramatic. Well I felt like a clown when I saw my face! My Grandma and Ste thought it looked good but I guess I am not used to seeing myself with that much make-up. It was fun though. They had guys in suits carrying around trays of eclairs and cheesecake. We certainly got pampered and came home with tons of free stuff. My mom couldn't make it since she tagged along with my dad on his business trip. Here are the pictures.

Ste (Stephanie to those of you who don't know that I call her Ste)

Grandma Larsen

You should have seen Darryl's face when I came home looking like this! I had about three pounds of make-up on and that was just the eye shadow!

The girls all dolled up.

Teagan is walking!

Yesterday I set Teagan down and Darryl was a few feet away from him and he called him over and Teagan walked to him! We have been encouraging him to practice walking but he has never taken more than 2 steps. This time he took about 5. We were shocked.

Later on in the day he took several steps toward my Grandma. He just loves her and always gives her kisses when he won't give them to anyone else. She was so thrilled I thought she was going to cry. She hugged me and Darryl and thanked us over and over for having such a cute baby. It was funny.

Later that evening, I was talking to Reita (Darryl's mom) on the phone telling her about Teagan walking and all the sudden Teagan stood up and walked across the room all by himself. This time I nearly cried. It just took me off guard. The only time he had done it was when we coaxed him to do it, but this time it was all his idea. I can't believe my baby is walking! I don't know if I am ready to start chasing him once he learns to run. Crawling is bad enough!
