May the force be with you.

This year for Halloween we did a Star Wars theme. The main reason for this is because Garrett wanted to. He never got his Luke costume put together so Darryl, Teagan and I still did it without him. Darryl was Han Solo and I was Princess Leia, and Teagan was Yoda. We took him to a few houses in the neighborhood once I got home from work. He loves suckers! We had a fun Halloween this year. (Darryl must resemble Harrison Ford to some degree or he just loves the characters he plays. Last year Darryl was Indiana Jones.)

My favorite season

I love autumn. It's my favorite time of year. I love how you have mostly warm days with a nice cool crisp chill. It's not cold, it's just perfect. I especially love the colors outside. All the plants turn bright warm colors like red or yellow. The apples taste the best this time of year. One of my favorite things to do is get family pictures taken this time of year. My family has done that several times throughout my life. We usually go for a drive in the canyon during conference and listen to it on the radio. During the break, we get out of the car and hike and play football and usually get pictures taken. This year we didn't get to do that but I still wanted family pictures taken with the pretty fall colors. So we went to Darryl's grandparent's house in Alpine and since they live in the mountains, we took pictures in their backyard. Here are some of my favorites.

Teagan and Glade

Once again, we found ourselves longing to get away on a quick weekend trip and made our way to Cedar City to visit Blake, Kayce and Glade. I was particularly excited to see Teagan get to play with Glade because he is older and a lot more interactive. I just knew they would be so cute together and make big messes and we would just smile at how cute it all was. That would have been really nice had that been the case. Teagan has four teeth coming in on top and he was a miserable baby most of the weekend. We gave him teething tablets and baby oragel but nothing seemed to help.

Glade was so cute with him though. She would come up to him when he cried and kiss him or hug him. She was very concerned. It was so cute. Since he was hurting, he didn't especially like having her near and his cries would turn into hysterical sobs if she so much as looked his way. That didn't stop Glade though. She just knew she could console him and kept trying. Eventually he would calm down and they would play for a few minutes and luckily that is when we pulled out the camera. We had to act fast. The first time Teagan actually enjoyed playing with his cousin. (We had been there several hours by this point.)

I love this one because I finally got a picture of Teagan sticking his tongue out partially. He does that a lot lately. It's funny.

The cutest of all was when they would kiss. It was adorable. They would both lean in and kiss. They did it a few times and I was lucky enough to get it on camera. They are both going to be humiliated by this photo in a few years. It will be great.

I finally found my camera!!!

My camera had been lost since the middle of July (right after Glade's birthday) and I had some pictures I was really hoping to find again. Well, I almost "bought" a new camera last week, (We have reward points from our credit card that would have covered the whole cost of a new camera) but I decided to wait and try a little harder to find it and I did! Here are some summer pics that I wanted to post earlier.

Daddy's Boy

Teagan LOVES his daddy. I don't blame the kid, I do too! Well the extent of this love was witnessed today. We are in the middle of sanding and refinishing the floors at my parents house and Darryl came in the front door and couldn't walk across the wood floor to where Teagan and I were. Teagan took one look at him and started reaching his arms out to him and crying. Darryl just laughed and left to walk around to the back door to get into the family room. Teagan just sobbed when he left. It was the most pitiful heart-breaking cry I have ever heard. As soon as Darryl came through the back door, Teagan reached up to him and once Darryl picked him up he immediately quit crying and smiled. It was so cute to see him so attached to his daddy.

Well, Teagan needed a diaper change and Darryl didn't have enough room where he was to do it and he handed Teagan back to me to change him. Once he was in my arms he started sobbing again. (At that point it wasn't quite as cute as before.) It was so bad that I moved out of the way and Darryl jumped in and changed his diaper. The funny thing is that he has been happy all day but I keep him pretty distracted. As soon as he realizes his daddy isn't around he loses it. It's funny. My niece is a daddy's girl too. Babies love those cute Pearson boys.
